Day 42 – Swanson Harbor to Juneau – June 23, 2018

Fired up this morning at 6AM for the trip over to Juneau and had another very pleasant commute with the wind behind us, light chop. We pulled into Crowley Fuel again to feed the very thirsty Esperança, then found our way once again to our moorage among the cruise ships. This time John had to shoe horn in between the Daedalus (Boeing’s corporate yacht) and another small cruise ship of 150’ and made it look easy. Today is transition day as John and Dianne (Mom & Dad) fly home this evening and Jenn and Spence leave tomorrow. Let the laundry begin! I immediately rushed off to do my reprovisioning and errands (we rented a car) to Home Depot, Fred Meyer and Costco while John stayed behind and washed the boat. Jenn and Spence, John and Dianne all went uptown and shopped around. Several hours later it was time to head to the airport and then out to dinner at The Hangar again. Not much to report today since we are just in Juneau getting our logistics taken care of. This evening an eagle was perched on the cruise ship structure right in front of the American Flag waving in the breeze. He had his head feathers all pumped up and seemed to pose for us. People everywhere as 5 cruise ships are in town today.
