PENDRELL TO GRACE HARBOUR

 Tuesday, August 12, 2025

An early departure for all of us this morning. Abells and Maddens went to Grace Harbour to position for Wednesday’s dinner out at the “Laughing Oyster”.  We were lucky enough to find a ring on shore for our stern tie and plenty of room for both boats to be rafted together. It’s been another scorcher of a hot day, so Connie and I decided it was time for an adventure to Refuge Cove – a 20 minute run across to another island. It was a bit windy today so the water was kind of a washing machine out there and we were bucking the wind getting to Refuge. It was a fun bronco ride and we had a blast! At Refuge we had a beer and split a salmon burger, shopped for groceries, and gifts, then headed back across to Grace Harbor. This time we were going with the wind and waves so it was Surfin’ USA all the way back! Our knees like springs, we got a good core workout along the way. Tonight I made the Salmon with Coconut Rice recipe again, and it lived up to its reviews a second time, just such a great recipe. Five Crowns, some port and dark chocolate, and another day put to rest.

Having a beer and lunch at Refuge Cove - Girls' Adventure Day!
