Had a great sleep last night, actually slept until 7:30AM (with 5:30 being my usual wake up time). After a leisurely morning of coffee drinking I set out for my 10AM massage appointment up on shore. It was glorious! As previously mentioned in this blog, this strain of Covid just wiped out my neck and shoulders, rendering me oh so stiff for the past 3 weeks. What a treat to get a massage and some relief. Back at the boat it was time for some serious planning as we have the next three weeks in which to play up north in the Broughtons and beyond, and so many itinerary options. I laid out three different plans for John to review and we will decide tomorrow when he returns, which of the three we will do. I know many people just like to go where the wind takes them and don’t plan, but I am a planner by nature. The other real consideration is that it’s the height of summer and we need to get our moorage reservations secured along the way as well as plan where we will reprovision and fuel up. From here north there aren’t many grocery store options so one needs to be prepared. John will tell you we have enough food for 6 months on board, but I like to try new recipes when we are on the boat so need to have a very inclusive pantry. After the itinerary planning it was time to meal plan for the next couple of weeks to ensure that we have everything we need so out came the cookbooks and recipe binder and here it is almost 4 hours later and I am done with both plans. Hey, it’s 4 o’clock, almost cocktail hour again! There is live music onshore starting at 7PM and if it’s warm enough I will sit on the flybridge and take it all in, hope they are good. Signing off for today. Enjoy your evening. Would love to hear from you too, so don't be a stranger, we have Starlink so are almost always connected! Send me an email and tell me about your summer.
