A busy day back in town with multiple appointments and errands, then back to the airport for my flight back to Ketchikan. It was kind of a heat wave in Seattle so I chugged a bottle of water in my Lyft ride – big mistake before flying. I had the window seat and our plane was delayed. Two young guys were sitting next to me, one of whom was asleep by the time we were airborne. I was counting the seconds until the captain turned off the seatbelt sign then scrambled out of my seat headed for the back! I am sure I annoyed them but what are you gonna do. I was in premium class so drinks were free, so I decided a glass of red wine was the perfect antidote to my busy crazy day. All went well for the first half of my “can” of red wine, when suddenly the remainder was in my lap. Not even sure how I did that but again, what are you gonna do, except mop it up the best you can and sit in the rest….haha. It dried by the time I got off the plane so it wasn’t too obvious. John picked me up in the whaler again, took me back to the boat, and we soon crashed after having a cardboard Safeway pizza for dinner.
