This morning it is already clear and sunny and calm. We decided to go out and look for bears because it was low tide and they like to forage the beach during low tide. Nothing! No Bears today. The salmon run is in full swing so maybe they are up in the rivers? Who knows but we’ve seen bear in this area every year. It’s probably because we deliberately went looking for them, jinxed it! We did run across these enormous reddish orange jellyfish on our adventure, but couldn’t get a decent picture. They must have been 3’ across, so huge! That was kind of cool. We visited Roaring Hole Rapids one more time. I went for one more short paddle around the bay at Turnbull, and then it was “anchors aweigh” because we had reservations at Sullivan Bay Marina for the evening including dinner – which is fantastic because I don’t have to cook! Or think of what to cook…or prep…or do dishes…it’s a total night off. We hooked up with friends of ours, Bill and Lorraine, and had a really nice catch-up visit. Dinner was good this time, Prime Rib with all the fixings and sides. Afterwards we retired to Bill and Lorraine’s boat and were treated to peanut butter brownies, still warm. Omgee. So good.
It’s like boiling water
