MAY 14, 2022 – BAKER INLET TO PRINCE RUPERT - no wait - NOW TO KETCHIKAN - PART ONE

6AM: We awoke to partial sun this morning! Today we get to tie up to a dock and go to a restaurant for dinner! YAY! No cooking. They have a really great sushi place and also a nice burger/pub joint right at the head of the dock. Every time we’ve been to Prince Rupert it’s been rainy, windy and miserable so maybe today if the weather holds (it changes constantly so you can’t count on anything) we can actually enjoy Prince Rupert.

9AM: Change of Plans: today is favorable at Dixon Entrance so we are going for it. The next three days are blowing 20-30mph but today is 5-10mph. Wish us luck!

Leaving Baker Inlet this morning, looking east

Gorgeous morning, 6:30am, heading north out of Baker Inlet

Can you see where the narrow passage is? We can't either but we trust it's there!

  1. Yay, all caught up. Loved the fish, glad you could get one. The narrow passage looks like a one way trip, one boat at a time, and you wouldn’t want to go in wind or big currents. I see you docked in Ketchikan tonight, shopping, brewpub, all the big city fun. Lucky you fixed the heater, brrrr.
