And we’re off on our grand adventure! I finally figured out how to pack my life into a 60L duffle bag and got it zipped (barely). Jordan picked us up around 2:30, we swung by to get the Dropperts, and we were on our way. At SeaTac, the unthinkable happened, we had no line checking in and no line at TSA, so in a matter of minutes we were inside and ready for our 5:50PM flight with over 2 hours to kill. At 5PM we boarded our flight to sit in the very back of the plane which we knowingly chose to do, because at the back of the 777’s the seats go from 3 to a row down to 2 seats so we didn’t have to share the next 14 hours with a stranger. Dropperts took advantage of the Emirates upgrade offer and went business class (lucky dogs) while we sat in our coach seats. We were pleasantly surprised with the legroom and Emirates is really a class act....great service, very professional. The flight attendants were so gorgeous and polished, I was mesmerized. Our flight to Dubai was uneventful and relatively turbulence free. Upon arriving in Dubai we caught a cab to our hotel “Radisson Blu at Deira Creek” which was lovely, had some dinner and hit the hay. Day 1 of our adventure. We arrived at 6:30PM Dubai time, 11 hours ahead, our body clocks are scrambled already.
